Announcement
Aaaaand we're live 🚀

Our goal was to launch on February 20th so here we are. 😎 FeatureShift is open for everyone to try.

In the past weeks we finished some remaining todos we wanted to have ready on launch day. That included a responsive backend, dark mode for frontends, server optimizations and making sure all automated scripts are running smoothly.

As previously noted, some initial features did not make it for the launch. So we will ship them in the coming weeks. Those are "Notifications" and "API access".

Also, while the backend remains solely in English for now, it is possible to use the frontend in both English and German. We will also prepare other languages soon.

We hope you like FeatureShift. Be sure to submit any feature requests you might have at feedback.featureshift.com and if you have any questions, drop us a message.

Preparing for launch

It's always hard to know when to launch a new product. The problem is, that something like FeatureShift is never really finished and there are so many things we'd like to implement before the launch. But if we'd give in to everything and just build "this last feature", we would probably never launch.

So we decided to set a launch date and actually stick to it: 🗓️ February 20th it is.

We're getting the final touches ready, prepare and set up our automated scripts for issuing SSL certificates, trial days, email reminders etc. We will also implement Dark Mode in the next days, which will be an optional setting for admins to toggle. We will also make sure everything runs smoothly on both the frontend and backend and optimise a few remaining things on our servers and databases.

All in all, most of the stuff for a v1 is ready. A few features will be missing on launch day, though. But we'll ship them in the coming months.

We will also prepare the first translation soon and we're going to start with German.

Starting private beta 🕵️

Today we are going to start with the private beta. We will use FeatureShift for some of our own products, e.g. InPrivy and eniston as well as enable access to a handful of curious beta subscribers.

We will use this phase to squish bugs, receive feedback on what to improve and setting the final touches. If everything goes according to plan, we will launch sometime in February, maybe early March.
